In The Words of Tom McGinnis: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

Seriously. WTF.

Tonight should have been a great night for the 76ers. They defeated the current fourth seed in the East, the Atlanta Hawks, 98-85 at home with the Hawks star Josh Smith dropping a season-high 33 points. The win put them a half a game behind the fifth seeded Heat with a record of 38-35. I cannot stress more how important it is to get that fifth spot. It lets you avoid a first round match up with either the Cavs, Magic or Celtics and you play none other than the Hawks, who the Sixers can obviously beat considering they took the season series against Atlanta this year.

But, Thaddeus Young hurt his ankle in the first quarter at the same time tonight. Whether or not this is injury is serious enough for him to miss time is still unknown.

Other guys like Marreese Speights are going to have to step up even more if Thad has to be put on the shelf for a bit.
