Flyers and Sixers recaps

While the Sixers continue to scrap and claw there way to the 5th seed on the east, the Flyers continue to shit the bed with horrendous losses. On Wednesday the Flyers lost to the Toronto Maple leafs 3-2. There really is not much to say about this game except for the fact they lost to a really bad team that they should have won... correction have to win. The Flyers are currently 6 points back of the New Jersey Devils in the Atlantic Division standings thanks to a 6 game Devils losing streak. It does seem however, that the Flyers don't have much interest in taking the division when they lose to whack teams like the Maple leafs. The Flyers look to redeem themselves by completing the back end of a home and home at the Wachovia Center Friday night.

Contrary to the flyers, as previously expressed, the sixers are continuing their feverish pace in the race for the playoffs and the ever coveted 5 seed. The 76ers put together 2 nice wins for the home town crowd, the 1st against the hopeful 1st round match up, the Hawks, and the second Thursday night against the Bucks defeating them 105-95 . The sixers did lose Thaddeus Young in the Hawks game, he will be out 2-3 weeks, this is a shame not only for sixers, but for Thad as well, he was averaging over 20 points per game in march. The 76ers next game bears a rematch with the Detroit Pistons who clipped the Sixers in their last match up. The game can be seen on ESPN 3p.m. Saturday.
