Crap...The Curse Has Already Started

What did I tell you?! I knew it. We're cursed again. It is official. Until they say that Billy Penn is going a top that probable new building to be, we're effed.

76ers forward Elton Brand suffered a strained right hamstring in tonight's loss to the Lakers and will be checked again tomorrow.

Are you kidding me? ARE YOU BLEEPING KIDDING ME?!!!

Maybe I am panicking. Maybe I am overreacting. But, the writing is on the wall. It is on the friggin' wall. This talk over the presumed new American Commerce Center is screwing over our city's teams. Why now? Why the heck are they building new skyscrapers now? Our city is at the potential pinnacle of its sports success with the Phillies just winning the World Series, the Flyers playing good hockey with a young and talented team, the Sixers signing Elton Brand and building what should have been a good contender in the East so far and the Eagles...well...there is really nothing good about the Eagles. But three out of four, or at least two out of four, and this is what we get. You're joking right?!

What is next? Is Jamie Moyer or Pat Burrell not going to resign with the Phillies? Are the Eagles on the path for a decade long stretch of bad football? Are the Sixers going to fall off the map once again and be in the cellar for a long time like they were for most of the 90s? Are the Flyers going to keep going to the playoffs over and over again and come up just short of a Stanley Cup as they have done so for the past 33 years?

The City Council Committee of Philadelphia or whoever the heck is deciding on what to do with this new building, please, please, please, please put up a little statue of William Penn at the very tip top of this skyscraper so he can go back to being appeased like he was a little over a month ago and allow us to win another major sports championship.

Please.

ok....I you need to realize that there is more to life than Philadelphia sports. Take a deep breath and calm down. It will be ok!
