Kobe too much for the Sixers

They battled, but to no avail. The Lakers outlasted the 76ers 114-102 in South Philly tonight. Kobe Bryant was just too much for the boys in black and white. Also, after the Lakers had a tough loss last night in Indiana, their first road loss of the year and only second overall, you knew they were going to come out tonight searching for some blood.

The Sixers fall to 8-11 and back in last place in the Atlantic Division. However, as the past two seasons have proven, they are more of a second half of the season team than first half so hopefully they can pick it up pretty soon. I was a firm believer of this last year, in the off-season and now–they need a shooter. They do not have one that plays. The one or two they do have in Kareem Rush and Donyell Marshall do not play. Also, another thing I was a firm believer on is this team needs to play better defense. I do not care what anybody says, but defense wins games and championships. Look at the Celtics. Look at the Nuggets from last year–tremendous talent on offense but no defense.

If the Sixers are going to win, they need to gel more, find a way to shoot the ball better and play defense. Next game should be another good one. They travel to Detroit on Friday to take on our boy Allen Iverson and the Pistons.
