Flyers Fall To Hated Devils In OT...Bringing Back Memories of 2000 Eastern Conference Finals Game 7
The Flyers lost a tough game tonight against a division opponent, the Devils. The Flyers held a 2-1 lead with 2:10 left in the 3rd period when Marty Biron made a bone-headed played play, something that seems to be almost routine now-a-days. Biron tried to play the puck behind the net like he typically does, then turned it over like he typically does and then ultimately gave up a horrible goal that tied the game late. Just a suggestion, Marty, stay in the net. Biron is a good goaltender, however he habitually gives up goals while trying to play the puck. The eventual game winner was put netted by Patrick Elias, a player that,as a Philadelphia fan, is very easy to hate. Not only does he play for a division rival, he's a Flyer killer. The flyers lost the game 3-2 in OT. The Flyers next action is against the Islanders on Saturday. Unfortunately, the game is broadcasted on Versus.
